(they will not have any drawings on them)

the museum trip

This week on Monday my hub went to the museum for a school trip and it was fun!  My favorite part's was when we learnt about the Pakeha/Māori. I liked it because it is the original New Zealand culture. We even got to use the tools that they used. My favorite 2 tools that I used were the canoe hollower/ax and the fire starter. I liked these tools because the fire starter needed a lot of strength and the canoe hollower/ax was crazy because the little bits of wood would fly up and hit you.My other favorite part was when we went  for lunch into the gardens. There was a big climbing tree where we were and we were allowed to climb it. I love to climb things.

have you ever been on a museum trip with your school

letter writing

Over the past few weeks, we have been learning to write both formal and informal letters. Here is an example of a letter I wrote about a political event in New Zealand's past

Dear Mr. Muldoon,
I am writing because I think that the Springboks should not tour
New Zealand. In south africa the black people don’t get treated the same way. We do not think that this is right as we don’t think like this in New Zealand. It is horrible that you are letting them play in our country. These people are racist.

Sincerely,

Alice
