Maths T3W5

This week for maths I have been doing Cantamath

This week in Cantamath we have been doing interdependent work to see who will make the Cantamath teams. One of the elements of Cantamath is a maths competition that you solve maths problems as fast as you can in teams of four. one of your team mates is a runner and runs around the circle to get the question and runs back around to there team the solve the problem. You repeat that until the time is up or you have solved all the questions.

Do you do Cantamath at your school?

Writing T3W5

This week for writing I have been finishing off my speech this is my favorite paragraph from my speech

Hi, I'm Alice and today I'll be talking to you about quality education.

In 2015, the world leaders in the united nation agreed to 17 Global Goals. officially known as the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. These goals have the power to create a healthier  and better world by 2030. We can do this by ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change. We will be able to end these problems guided by the goals. It is now up to all of us to work together to build a better future for everyone.

Writing T3W4

This week for writing I have been planing for my speech about quality education. This is my planing.

Damaged caused -

You’ll be shocked to know that only 255 million kids had education in 2018 nearly one fifth of the global population

Challenge-

We face our biggest issue As the Covid-19 spreads across the globe, Globally around 5.5 million more girls than boys of primary school age are out of school then in 2018.

countries have recently announced the temporary closure of schools, impacting more than 91 per cent of students worldwide. By April 2020, close to 1.6 billion children and youth were out of school.

If we don't act now what will the future look like?

Yes this problem seems overwhelming however we can solve it.
